Electronic Textbooks & iPad: Options & Opportunities

There are a lot of questions, misconceptions, and opportunities surrounding electronic textbooks. This session will explain how the iPad is being leveraged to provide incredibly rich and immersive textbooks to students and faculty. Additionally, we will explore iBooks Author and other tools to help faculty and students utilize these new resources without any technical or publishing experience. This session is applicable to all disciplines.

Bio/Expertise:
Dr. Jon  Landis came to Apple from Millersville  University where he served as an assistant professor in the College of  Education. He holds his Ph.D. in Sociology and Leadership Studies, a   Masters degree in Education Leadership, and his B.S. in Chemistry. Dr.   Landis’ career began as a high school chemistry, earth science, and   physical science teacher. He later became a K12 curriculum integration   administrator, went on to be a middle school principal and then into his  most recent role as assistant professor in the college of education  and  graduate coordinator for the Education Leadership Masters Program  at  Millersville
