Senior WABC Meteorologist Bill Evans leads an informative session which discusses climate change, SuperStorm Sandy, and what changing weather patterns mean for New Jersey’s educational institutions. Discussion will include relevant case studies as well as methods to insure your campus’ infrastructure is prepared in the event of a disaster.

Bio/Expertise:
A member of WABC-TV since December 13th of 1989, Bill Evans is the Senior Meteorologist for Eyewitness News in the Morning and Eyewitness at Noon. Bill is a 5-time Emmy award winner for Outstanding On-Camera Achievement in Weather Broadcasting. Bill is most noted for his live weather broadcasts on-location all over the Tri-State area, Florida, and the Caribbean. Bill began his broadcasting career at the age of 13 in his hometown of Meridian, Mississippi on WDAL Radio and WTOK-TV. He attended Mississippi State University in Business Administration and Jackson State University in Meteorology. In 1985 the National Weather Service named him “Outstanding Meteorologist” for his forecasting and reporting during Hurricane Elena.
