Abstract:
Sakai is a full featured system supporting technology-enabled teaching, learning, research and collaboration for education. Sakai is an open source product designed, built and maintained by a consortium of higher education institutions and commercial affiliates who support them. Come learn how many leading institutions, including Rutgers, use Sakai, participate in the Sakai community and work within the Apereo Foundation’s ecosystem of open source projects which support the mission of higher education.

Bio/Expertise:
Neal has a background in support, software development and project management and product management, with experience in several industries including Telecom, Medicine, and of course, Education, dating back to the mid-1990’s,with about a dozen of those years in Education. Neal is the Sakai Community Coordinator, tasked with ensuring the continued high quality and timeliness of Sakai CLE releases.
