Abstract:
Your attack surface has changed, the attackers have changed, however security technologies and operations continue to rely on a broad spectrum protection. This evolution leaves your valuable assets vulnerable to compromise and possibly exfiltration. This session focuses on understanding how data breaches are successful and how methodology and technology is adapting to focus on quality over quantity. Attendees will learn the concepts used by evasive threats and malicious cyber actors. There will be an introduction to the cyber security kill chain and we will walk through a common breach scenario. New techniques for breach detection and methodologies for shifting focus from old world protection to new world detection will be discussed.
