The complexity and manpower required to deliver and maintain software on client PCs and laptops can be staggering.  Do you wish you could consolidate and standardize across departments and physical locations?  With Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), we have condensed the installation and maintenance of nearly all University required Windows software into a streamlined and easy to use interface.  The Software Center is the front-facing interface of the SCCM client, a robust and extensive client management tool.  This presentation will discuss our implementation, customization, and continued use of Configuration Manager, with a focus on the end-user experience via the Software Center.

Cristopher Alaya and Rebecca Schaffer are members of the Enterprise System Services unit of the Information Technology department at William Paterson University.  They have a combined 15 years in Desktop Management, working primarily with management of Windows-based devices.
