At Montclair State University, the Instructional Design team is collaborating with the School of Business to pilot the implementation of Learning Outcomes in an integrated core of four courses. Students in this program take these four courses simultaneously and work on assignments that span those courses. At this session we will talk about the collaborative process that led to an the implementation and testing plan, from both a technical and an assessment point of view, and discuss how this can be replicated on a departmental, program and university level.

Richard Peterson

Montclair State University

Joe Russo is an Instructional Designer with Montclair State University. He previously worked at Montclair State’s ADP Center for Teacher Preparation & Learning Technologies. There he provided professional development for faculty, aspiring teacher education students, and P-12 classroom teachers, with a concentration on implementing innovative and practical methods for integrating new technologies in the classroom. He has an MA in Modern History and Literature from Drew University, as well as an MS in Library and Information Science, from the Pratt Institute.

Patrick Scioscia is an Instructional Designer within the Technology Training and Integration group here at Montclair State University. His responsibilities include instructional design, managing Montclair State’s NJVID streaming media repository, LMS management and support, etc. Patrick earned his MA in Instructional Technology and Media from Teachers College, Columbia University.

Rich Peterson is a Professor at Montclair State University. He has taught such courses as management information systems, systems analysis and design, decision support systems, networking, business communications, business research methods, business decision making, and personal finance. Dr. Peterson holds a Ph. D. and an M.S. from The Pennsylvania State University and a B.S. from Edinboro State University.
