Demonstration of Best Practices in Online Management Education

The presentation provides a practical demonstration of best practices in Online/Hybrid education in Management at the MBA level.  Techniques and technology for developing community, delivering new content, sharing expectations, encouraging discussion, and soliciting timely feedback for online/hybrid classes are utilized.

Gerry Cleaves
Fairleigh Dickinson University

Gerard W. Cleaves, Clinical Assistant Professor of Management, Fairleigh Dickinson University.  Mr. Cleaves joined FDU in 2003 with more than 20 years experience in business and organizational development.  This experience comes primarily in the global supply chain management software and consulting industry serving multinational companies.  He worked for Exxon,  Chesapeake Decision Sciences,  and AtlanTec, a company he founded in 1995.  He has degrees in chemical engineering from Lehigh University and Princeton University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.  At FDU, Mr. Cleaves teaches Pharmaceutical Management, Business Ethics, Business in a Global Society, Foundations of Management, Organizational Behavior and Leadership, and the MBA Capstone.
