Your Cheating Heart: Using A Self-Proctoring Solution To Improve Academic Integrity

NJIT has evaluated the use of proctoring solutions for online learning and is now piloting a self-proctoring solution. As a customer of ProctorU we found some significant hurdles for full implementation . Concurrently, we are using Respondus Monitor to provide a solution for campus-wide implementation. This presentation will showcase the current results of our use of Respondus Monitor and how we found it to be the best solution for us of all the products we have evaluated.

Michael Koskinen works at NJIT as the Assistant Director for Digital Learning. Mike likes to help faculty better use technology in the classroom, developing online learning, and his research interests are on the use of improving the college experience for students using technology.

He is the administrator for NJIT learning systems, also works as an adjunct professor of Education and Computer Science at Caldwell University, and is a doctoral student in education at Northeastern University. He also enjoys peanut butter ice cream.

Jenna works as an Instructional Designer and helps to support faculty with online learning and instructional technologies.

Jenna has a graduate degree in Professional and Technical Communication and also likes peanut butter.

Amanda is an Instructional Designer at NJIT. She assists and works closely with our faculty with the use of technology tools for instructional use.
