Using Online Research Guides with Undergraduates to Facilitate Academic Inquiry

Librarians at Stevens Institute of Technology use an online content management system that allows them to curate and share information with students. A recent initiative focuses on the expanded creation of course guides in an effort to scaffold students’ mastery of information literacy skills. This poster will discuss outcomes associated with the implementation of these guides, including an impacts on the following:

Librarian-Faculty collaboration and communication
Quantity and quality of Librarian-led instruction sessions
An increase in students’ understanding of information literacy concepts and their ability to engage in academic inquiry as a driver of the research process
