Bio: Dr. Amy Ackerman is currently an Associate Professor with Stockton University in Galloway, NJ, where she teaches in blended and online modes within graduate and undergraduate programs.  As part of her role with Stockton, Amy consults in various areas of instructional design, formative assessment, and human performance improvement for P-12 education, corporate, military, government, and non-profit environments.  Prior to joining Stockton, two of her most intriguing professional experiences were facilitating training courses for the US Navy on a submarine base in Japan and going down under to train staff developers on instructional design skills in a shoe company in Australia.  Amy holds a Ph.D. in Instructional Systems from Florida State University, frequently speaks at international conferences, and has published peer-reviewed articles addressing blended and online learning.

Bio: Karen Simmons started her career in education 20 years ago teaching second grade at Rieck Avenue School in Millville, New Jersey. Throughout her professional career, Karen has worked with many students at varying grade levels. One focus has been to design instruction with a purpose to integrate technology and online assessments in an inquiry-based learning environment. Karen recently graduated from Stockton University with a Master of Arts in Instructional Technology degree , where she fine-tuned her skills as an instructional designer, presented at a number of conferences, and worked with students at the collegiate level as a teaching assistant
